Complaint Description
On October 5th, I was traveling on the Gol Gumbaz Express (Train No. 16536). Although I held a waitlisted ticket (WL 29), I was allotted an RAC seat (RAC 63) in the S9 coach. However, no TTE came to confirm the seat between Indi Road and KSR Bengaluru. The journey began under extremely difficult conditions due to overcrowding caused by general ticket passengers, making for a very uncomfortable trip. Railway police arrived at 2:00 AM to deal with the general ticket passengers; had they done this at 6:00 PM, it would have been far more helpful. I personally approached the TTE in the B3 coach at 7:00 PM to request RAC seat confirmation; he promised to issue it near Hubballi Junction but never showed up. Is it not a dereliction of duty for railway officials to neglect their responsibilities regarding passenger comfort? I paid for a sleeper seat, yet I was subjected to the hardships of general-class travel—does this not amount to being cheated?
