PNR status of our booking for travel from Gwalior to Mumbai(09.11.26)
Complaint Description
I request your urgent intervention regarding the PNR status of our group booking for travel from Gwalior to Mumbai on 9 November. We are a group of 10 people, including children. We booked our tickets as soon as the reservation window opened. However, at around 10:02–10:03 AM, only 4–5 First AC berths appeared to be available for our group. We booked the available First AC tickets and placed the remaining passengers on the waiting list. We also booked confirmed Second AC tickets as a backup. It has now been almost a month, but there has been no movement in our First AC waiting list. We need to cancel our Second AC tickets once First AC gets confirmed, but if confirmation happens at the last moment, we may be unable to cancel the backup tickets without financial loss. My concerns are: 1. Why are so few First AC berths available within minutes of the booking window opening? 2. How can families and groups travelling with children plan their journey when there is no clarity on waiting-list movement? 3. Will the Railways provide timely clarity so passengers can make informed decisions and avoid unnecessary financial losses? I am attaching the relevant ticket details for your reference. Kindly look into this matter and provide a timely resolution.
