Complaint Description
Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my concern regarding the excessive delay of Train No. 16345 – Netravati Express during my journey from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Mumbai to Cherthala (SRTL). Journey Details: * PNR: 8650260520 * Train No.: 16345 – Netravati Express * Date of Journey: 21–22 July 2026 * From: Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Mumbai * To: Cherthala (SRTL) * Passengers: 2 * Coach/Berths: B3 – Berth 61 (MB) & Berth 62 (UB) As per the scheduled timetable, the train was supposed to arrive at Cherthala at 2:47 PM. However, due to an unexpected delay of over 2 hours, the expected arrival time has been pushed to approximately 5:00 PM. This significant delay has caused me considerable inconvenience. I had an important office meeting scheduled after my arrival, which I will now be unable to attend because the train is arriving well beyond the planned time. The delay has resulted in both professional inconvenience and disruption to my travel plans. I understand that operational delays may sometimes be unavoidable. However, a delay exceeding two hours is substantial, and passengers should be appropriately compensated for the inconvenience caused. I kindly request IRCTC to: * Review this incident. * Inform me of the reason for the excessive delay. * Consider providing suitable compensation, such as a refund (full or partial), travel voucher, or any other goodwill gesture in accordance with your customer service policy. I have attached screenshots of my booked ticket and the live train running status showing the delay for your reference. I look forward to your response and a satisfactory resolution at the earliest.
