Serious Complaint Regarding Repeated Delays of Train No. 16545 – Hardship to Daily Passengers
Complaint Description
I would like to lodge a serious complaint regarding the repeated and excessive delays of Train No. 16545 (Yesvantpur–SNNR Express). On Saturday, 12 September 2026, the train was expected to reach Chikkabanavara at approximately 8:35 PM, but it arrived at around 10:30 PM, causing a delay of nearly two hours. This was particularly difficult because it was during the Ganesha festival period, when many passengers, including elderly people, children and families, were travelling. Passengers were forced to wait for a prolonged period at the station, causing significant inconvenience and hardship. More seriously, this appears to be a recurring problem with Train No. 16545. Regular passengers frequently experience substantial delays, with the train often departing Yesvantpur at 9:00 PM or later, instead of operating according to its scheduled timetable. As a result, passengers travelling towards Tiptur and other stations are often reaching their destinations around midnight or even later. This is creating serious problems for daily commuters who depend on this train for their regular travel. A train that is repeatedly delayed by such a significant amount becomes extremely difficult for working people, students, elderly passengers and families to depend on. I request the Railway authorities to urgently investigate this matter by examining the actual running records of Train No. 16545 over the past several weeks and identify the reasons for these repeated delays. I request the authorities to: Investigate the repeated delays of Train No. 16545. Review its actual departure and arrival timings over recent weeks. Identify the reasons for the frequent late departure from Yesvantpur. Take appropriate operational measures to improve the train's punctuality. Ensure that passengers receive reliable and timely service. Escalate this matter to the concerned senior railway authorities and the Ministry of Railways for necessary attention. This is not merely an occasional delay but a serious concern for regular passengers who depend on this train every day. I request that the matter be treated as a serious passenger-service and punctuality issue and that appropriate action be taken. Please acknowledge this complaint and inform me about the action taken.
