Complaint Regarding Inadequate General Coach Facility on Bengaluru–Shivamogga Train
Complaint Description
Dear Sir/Madam, I am travelling from Tumakuru to Shivamogga by train on 27/09/2026 to appear for the SHIMUL (KMF) examination. During my journey, I have faced serious inconvenience due to the inadequate availability of general/unreserved coaches. Only 2–3 coaches are allotted for general passengers, which is insufficient considering the large number of passengers travelling on this route. Due to the overcrowding, passengers are forced to stand throughout the journey, causing significant inconvenience and discomfort. I have attached photographs showing the actual situation for your reference. I request the concerned railway authorities to kindly look into this matter and take appropriate measures as per Indian Railways' norms. Adequate general/unreserved coaches should be provided based on passenger demand so that common passengers can travel safely and with basic dignity. This has been a very disappointing experience.
